COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is an exposition of the Old Testament book of Psalms. Issues related to background, genre, and theology will be discussed. You will learn about the different types of psalms and their importance for enhancing our prayer life. Major psalms will be discussed to reveal the meaning of poetic devices, characteristics of different genres, the meaning of the psalms and its theology. Most importantly we will discuss how these psalms relate to our personal lives.

COURSE OBJECTIVE

The overall purpose of this course is to enable the student to understand the major issues of select psalms and how they, will enhance our prayer life.
